The Eighth International Conference on Web Engineering (ICWE2008) will be held in July 2008 in Yorktown Heights, New York, USA. ICWE2008 aims at promoting research and scientific excellence on Web Engineering and at bringing together practitioners, scientists, and researchers interested in technologies, methodologies, tools, and techniques used to develop and maintain Web-based applications, leading to better applications and systems, and thus to enabling and improving the dissemination and use of content and services through the Web.
After some very interesting and inspiring days - ICWE 2008 closed today. There was a lot of
interesting discussions and presentations. The venue was not easy to reach, but was definitely
worth it. Web 2.0 was a main topic - several papers, panels, poster,
demos, and keynotes focussed on that topic. Besides, models for Web-based solutions, Web Services,
accessibility, and many other topics were on the screen. What will be the next important theme next
year? Well, you might take a first look now -- the ICWE 2009 conference web site went ALPHA today.
Once again, thank you very much for all the support. See you next year!
The ICWE 2008 proceedings are now online for Open Access. In addition, we started a new project having
all data about ICWE's publications available as XML and RDF using a DataGridService. We will add more
data and metadata to the current set soon.
The ISWE Members Meeting will be on Thursday between panel and Banquet. Room will be announced soon.
The meeting is for ISWE members only.
The ICWE Conference Series Steering Committee will meet during lunch on Thursday, 17 Jul.
Please follow the signs when you enter IBM T.J. Watson Research Center property.
